Metra Electronics has unveiled the latest addition to their TurboTactile line, the 95-7640B dash kit. This innovative product enhances vehicle functionality with user-friendly rotary knobs and LCD status displays for temperature and fan speed adjustments.
The kit retains essential factory-style hard buttons, featuring laser-etched graphics, to control single-zone climate systems, ensuring that functionalities typically lost after removing the factory radio, such as backup cameras, climate control, and steering wheel controls, are preserved. This is made possible through Metra's patented interface technology integrated within the kit.
Key safety features, including the vehicle鈥檚 hazard button and passenger airbag indicator, are seamlessly integrated into the design. The 95-7640B is engineered to fit most standard 4-inch tall aftermarket radios in the lower dash, with a versatile top mounting area for shallow-mount or modular radios and a bottom opening for a 7-inch touchscreen. Installers can choose to mount a full-size Double-DIN radio in the lower location with the touchscreen above or place the touchscreen at the bottom when using a shallow mount radio in the top section.
