We're nearing the end of the Nissan R35 GT-R.
We know the Nissan R36 is on the horizon, and to do something special for the end of the R35, Nissan has released the Nissan GT-R T-Spec. It aims to bridge the gap between the cushier premium model and the more track-focused track edition and Nismo variants. In addition to your typical GT-R stuff, it adopts the body from the track edition and the carbon ceramic brakes from the Nismo edition, but it still features the same regular GT-R engine as you would find in the premium.
As you can see, there are some beautiful ;promotional artwork for the coming car. And perhaps one of the coolest things about it is that it's available in two colors. They are Millennium Jade and Midnight Purple. And for a lot of JDM fans, they know exactly where this is from. These are two colors that were made popular by the R-34 GT-R in its own special editions and they're finally back all these years later, and they look beautiful, if you ask me.
So, in addition to the extra two colors, you're also treated with a carbon fiber wing, a blacked-out hood duct, wider front fenders that you've seen on the track edition before, and gold RAYS wheels to match perfectly. This image of the Millennium Jade one looks exactly like the R-34 in Millennium Jade that sits in the museum. It's a picture perfect recreation as an R35. So, I'm a big fan. And perhaps the coolest part, if you ask me, is the T-Spec's interior which is outfitted in Mori Green featuring leather seats with pearl suede accents, a quilted alcantara headliner and T-Spec badges. By far the coolest GT-R interior to date. Really subtle.
I think everything about it is cool. It's gonna start well north of probably $140,000 by the time it lands here (North America) but there's still no word on whether North America is getting them or not. It was teased by Nissan Japan and we've only seen right-hand drive models, so I guess we'll have to see where this ends up.
