Toyo Tires’ new Proxes Sport 2 is designed to bring enhanced handling and traction to modern sports cars, CUVs, and SUVs across gas, hybrid, and electric platforms. This updated Max Performance summer tire focuses on improved control and response, featuring a re-engineered tread compound and casing that offers better wet and dry grip, shorter braking distances, and improved stability over the previous Proxes Sport model.
The Proxes Sport 2’s dual-silica tread compounds play a central role in this update, with an inner compound that adjusts to various road surfaces for consistent grip and an outer compound that resists deformation to support cornering. The asymmetric tread design helps maintain consistent road contact, which improves traction during acceleration, braking, and turns, while also contributing to a quieter, smoother ride for daily driving.
With over 75 sizes between 17 and 22 inches, the Proxes Sport 2 is set to be released in February 2025. The lineup includes fitments for models like the Audi SQ5, BMW M Models, Tesla Model X, and Toyota Supra GR. Offering a 25,000-mile treadwear warranty and a 45-day trial, Toyo aims to meet the needs of drivers seeking precision and versatility in a tire built for a wide range of performance vehicles.
