When it comes to shops, there鈥檚 a saying - 鈥渨ith new cars comes great responsibility鈥�. United Speed Racing in Cumming, GA has tested, tuned and competed with the FK8 Civic Type R in time attack battles, and I would think they know a thing or two about different enhancements, whether it be shaving seconds off your personal best or cooling parts more efficiently. Examples of this would be their stainless steel straight downpipe and turbo blanket, which was a partnership with PTP Turbo Blankets.
They鈥檝e received many inquiries about an oil cooler for a 2020+ FK8 Type R, and so while they鈥檝e been working hard to develop a kit for it, they took time to redesign their cooler ducting for the 2017-2019 models as well. It's well-known that the FK8 with K20C1 has a tendency to run hot on track, and an oil cooler can help control and lower oil temp, and help with coolant temp as well. Here's a sneak peak of USR鈥檚 2017-2019 oil cooler, and the 2020+ one should be announced shortly.
