Eric L Monroy fell in love with Honda’s S2000 from a young age. At first it was the car’s design and style that lured him in, but from there he saw how much potential the platform had as it dominated both the tracks and the show circuits. After building a couple of other Hondas, he finally acquired the drop-top Honda sports coupe he was looking for, a 2006 Honda S2000.
With the car in his possession, he chose to walk the fine line between show-worthy style and track-ready performance. With a platform like the S2000, it was more than capable of both, and a Powerhouse Amuse GT1 body kit does a great job of making the car’s appearance fit the bill. A handful of carefully selected parts inside and out have drastically changed Monroy’s S2000 from a regular convertible sports car to a track weapon that can hold its own at shows - both of which he frequently attends!
“I’ve always wanted a cool ride parked outside my house that I could take to work or the track or even do a small trip,” he says. “I feel grateful for what I have. My family has always supported my craziness, and I could say they are my biggest inspiration.”
